Have lunch in Europe and dinner in Asia… This unique experience, thousands of Stambouliotes live it everyday. Thanks to the “vapur” boats, they are going back and forth along the Bosphorus and about twenty minutes later, they land on another continent. Around the various piers of the city, it’s always the same excitement. Hurried travelers slalom between the shoeshine boys and the itinerant salesmen. Tea or “simit”, a local pretzel, gadgets made in China or smuggled cigarettes… Each footstep confirms the trade vocation of the city.
